The Federation of Small Businesses is launching a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) awareness raising campaign after a study found just eight per cent of small companies have completed their preparations ahead of the May 25 deadline to comply with new requirements.
FSB research also revealed 33 per cent of small businesses have not yet started preparing for GDPR and 35 per cent are only in the early stages.
A sector breakdown shows that hospitality and arts and entertainment businesses are the least prepared. Over half of respondents in these industries have not yet started readying themselves for the changes.
Small businesses in the financial services sector are the most prepared, with 82 per cent having started or completed the work required for GDPR. Read more like this< Back
